"A Symphony of Pink & Green" Cotillion Ball

On Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 4:30 p.m., 33 beautiful young ladies will be presented at the fourth "A Symphony of Pink and Green" Cotillion Ball, to be held at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven, in Mayfield Heights.

The cotillion is the culminating event for the debutantes, known as A.P.P.L.E.S., an acronym for Aspiring Peers Poised for Leadership and Excellence.  The debutantes and the escorts participated in a full year of activities which included workshops on finance, nutrition, appropriate dress, self-awareness, self-esteem, etiquette, goal setting and decision making, just to name a few.

Educational enrichment and community service were also components included for all participating debutantes.  The workshops and community service projects were facilitated by members of Alpha Omega Foundation and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. Weekly dance rehearsals were held at Calvary Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Bertrice Wood, a member of Alpha Omega Foundation, and strong parental support existed during the entire year.

The young ladies are juniors and seniors attending local high schools and reside in Greater Cleveland.
