"Bachelor Boys" Mentorship
The
Black Family Committee has sponsored a successful
“Bachelor Boys” Mentorship program this year! Young
men ages 12-15 have worked
with Black male mentors and engaged in character
development, etiquette, proper table manners, social skills, personal grooming, banking, sewing, and even
making-a-bed activities. The group sessions kicked off in
September 2007 and were held
every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at KidzHealth
20/20, our partner
in this effort. Speakers were invited to talk with the
students and provide additional insight into careers,
personal health and finance. |
